Datalight Driver Available for Microsoft Windows 7 & 8.1

Bothell, WA – May 5, 2016 – Today, Datalight released a new version of Reliance Nitro Windows Driver (RNWD), a set of installable drivers which make data from devices using its acclaimed Reliance Nitro file systems exchangeable with computers running 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Early tests have shown this release to be compatible with Windows 10 also, but full support is planned for later this year.

Device manufactures who choose Reliance Nitro for superior performance and reliability, can now give their customers the ability to easily share data between their device and their desktop. In addition to supporting these versions of Microsoft’s operating system, the new versions allow users to adjust the RNWD settings for improved performance in some use cases.

“We are happy to offer a better user experience for our customers by extending compatibility between Reliance Nitro and Windows 7 and 8.1,” said Datalight VP of Engineering, Ken Whitaker.

The Reliance Nitro Windows Drivers can be downloaded for free at www.datalight.com, and are available immediately for personal use. Distribution licenses for the drivers are also available from Datalight or one of its reseller partners.

The Reliance Nitro file system was designed from the ground up for high performance applications. Dynamic Transaction Point™ technology provides 100% immunity from file corruption, even after unexpected system interruption due to power loss or other factors. Embedded applications that use Reliance Nitro benefit from faster boot times that remain consistent for the life of the product, regardless of disk size. Datalight flash management and file system file system products are available on Linux and other operating systems.
