Insyde® Software Delivers UEFI BIOS for Microservers & Cloud Storage Servers

Recent InsydeH2O® Server BIOS Design Win with Wiwynn Helps to Address Storage Requirements in the Data Center

COMPUTEX TAIPEI – TAIPEI, TAIWAN, JUNE 3, 2014 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) BIOS, today announced another new server design win in support of two important and emerging segments of the server market: microservers and cloud storage servers.

Relative to these segments, Insyde’s product and recent design win leverage the Intel® Atom™ Processor C2000 product family (codenamed Avoton and Rangeley), which is the latest generation System-On-Chip (SoC) built on Intel’s 22-nanometer process technology. Insyde also supports the complete line of the Intel® Xeon® processor E3 family for higher-end server solutions.

InsydeH2O UEFI firmware was selected by Wiwynn and numerous other ODMs and OEMs designing and manufacturing a wide variety of data center storage solutions. With a rich set of BIOS tools and modular architecture that facilitates the easy adoption of special features and customizations for BIOS developers, InsydeH2O is becoming increasingly popular for data center computing platforms.
