Insyde® Software Joins Compute Express Link™ Consortium

Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software today announced its membership in the Compute Express Link™ (CXL™) Consortium. Compute Express Link is an open standard interface for high-speed communications designed to address the increasing use of accelerators (GPUs, FPGAs)
to complement CPUs in emerging datacenter workloads such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
This new high-speed CPU-to-Device and CPU-to-Memory interconnect is built on the existing PCI Express® 5.0 (PCIe®) infrastructure, adding protocols for more efficient data movement and memory management that can help deliver benefits such as higher performance, reduced software stack complexity, and lower overall system cost. Insyde Software’s flagship product, InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS, will provide full support for this new specification when new server-based hardware supporting PCIe 5.0 and CXL becomes more broadly available next year.
