TAIPEI, TAIWAN – April 14, 2025 – Insyde® Software, a global leader in UEFI BIOS and OpenBMC-based systems management software, has made two major announcements highlighting its continued innovation and commitment to information security: the launch of emDASH™, a hardware-independent DASH implementation for commercial client computing, and the achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the internationally recognized standard for information security management systems (ISMS).

Introducing emDASH™: Advanced Remote Management Without Hardware Dependencies

The newly unveiled emDASH™ firmware product is designed to bring enterprise-grade remote management capabilities to client PCs that adhere to the Desktop and Mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) standard from the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF). By integrating directly with UEFI EDK II-compliant firmware on both ARM and x86-based platforms, emDASH enables in-band, out-of-service functionality, allowing remote diagnostics and provisioning during the boot process — all without requiring specialized hardware or OS-level agents.

Compliant with DMTF DASH specifications, emDASH also supports optional Common Information Model (CIM) profiles and utilizes Web Services for Management (WS-Man) interfaces for seamless integration with Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.

ISO 27001 Certification: Validating a Security-First Approach

Complementing the emDASH launch, Insyde Software also announced its successful achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. This globally recognized standard confirms that the company has implemented a comprehensive and robust information security management system across its operations — from development and testing to delivery and customer support.

The certification reaffirms Insyde’s ongoing commitment to data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. It involved a rigorous evaluation of Insyde’s internal processes and security controls to ensure that risks are effectively managed in all areas of product lifecycle and customer engagement.
